Wi-Fi 6 – (AX) Faster Internet WLAN in 2022

WiFi 6(802.11ax) is all about improved bandwidth/speed, better performance, less congestion which is needed of today’s devices. Internet speed has increased, where internet service providers are providing improved bandwidth. 300mbps to 1gbps internet speed has now reached homes and offices, but WiFi access points are still at 50 to 300mbps at most of the homes and offices.

What is Wi-Fi 6?

Wi-Fi 6 is the new standard of WiFi. During Covid19 Lockdown, while working from home we faced many challenges, especially during video calls. Internet bandwidth was one of the problems and another major problem was WiFi bandwidth.

Due to high-demanding bandwidth apps like streaming, gaming, video calls, and all of our connected activities. There is the need to upgrade the WiFi, WiFi 6 is here, and it’s the latest and greatest new wireless networking standard.

This new standard was announced in 2018 and first came into the market in 2019.

Why we need Wi-Fi 6?

Today we consume more apps and content on the internet which need more bandwidth but our current WiFi doesn’t support bandwidth. Due to emerging technology, WiFi technology has also emerged and the need has also increased, therefore WiFi 6 is in high demand these days.

WiFi 6 is the next generation of Wi-Fi, it isn’t just a simple speed boost. It is much more than that.

Wi-Fi 6 has just arrived, and most of the new phones and laptops are already equipped with the technology. And now the technology has arrived that can support.

How fast is Wi-Fi 6?

The answer is simple, WiFi5 or WiFi (AC) was up to 1.5 Gbps. WiFi6 also called WiFi AX is up to 9.6 Gbps. Today, most of the homes and offices are equipped with on average 100mbps internet and in some cases, it is 1gpbs and it is increasing day by day. But WLAN also has shared content on the network, which needs a faster and more reliable connection.

Faster and Reliable WiFi

WiFi 5 is also known as WiFi AC. We all know that WiFi uses frequencies of 2.4 GHz and GHz, but during the year 2020 FCC voted to open up the 6GHz bandwidth for unlicensed use. WiFi 6E routers meet all the IEEE standards for WiFi 6 and can connect to devices using a 6GHz signal. So most of the devices already support this frequency
